Nitrocellulose coatings (NC) are single component, physically drying, solvent-based wood coatings.
NC wood coating is generally preferred because of its ease of application, fast productivity and competitive pricing compared to other wood coatings. NC coating produces a hard yet flexible and semi-durable finish having good clarity and smooth film formation. Generally, these coatings do not penetrate wood grains; rather, they form a thin layer on the surface resulting in good covering.
